You’ll collaborate with product and engineering to publish across blogs, docs, videos, and talks. A track record of front-page Hacker News content and a curious, assertive voice are valued.

Qualifications

• Have 5+ years writing for a technical audience (developer media, DevRel or engineering-adjacent journalism).
• Publish work with reach: front pages, threads, or widely shared posts; links may be requested.
• Deeply understand technical concepts; curiosity about our platform and market.
• Can extract a story from engineers who aren’t storytellers; asks questions to shape content.
• Write with a point of view; prefer provocative, not merely safe, writing.
• Very online: aware of Hacker News, X, and developer chatter; can anticipate what works.
• Work with autonomy: no manager, no brief, no fixed calendar; decide what to write.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the content engine; create a steady cadence of high-quality technical content.
• Design how we launch; craft narratives for 0-to-1 products and collaborate with Product.
• Turn customer stories into compelling content that resonates with engineers.
• Set the bar for technical content, including deep dives, benchmarks, teardowns, and analyses.
• Extend content beyond blogs to video, YouTube, docs, changelogs, talks.
