Job summary

Blacksmith Software Inc. is seeking a seasoned technical content writer to own the narrative around our CI and developer tooling platform.

You will craft engaging content across blogs, docs, videos, and talks, turning engineering stories into credible, compelling material for a technical audience. You’ll work with product and engineering teams, shaping launch narratives and explainers while maintaining an independent, high-velocity writing cadence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years writing for a technical audience such as developer media or engineering-adjacent journalism.
• Ability to pull stories from engineers and turn them into compelling content.
• Clear, credible communication about technical concepts without requiring engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Build and own a cadence for high-quality technical content across formats.
• Collaborate with Product to craft launch narratives and explainers.
• Interview engineering teams to uncover stories and create content that resonates with peers.
• Publish deep dives, benchmarks, teardowns, and opinion pieces for tech audiences.
• Extend content beyond blogs to video, docs, changelogs, and talks.
