Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a visionary Technical Solution Architect II to lead enterprise-scale solution design across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments, driving AI/ML applications and secure, compliant healthcare integrations.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with executives and clinicians, and shape AI ethics and data governance while delivering tangible outcomes for patient care and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of progressive IT experience in development, infrastructure, or systems analysis.
• 4+ years of solution or enterprise architecture.
• Must obtain one or more cloud certifications within one year of hire.
• Experience in cloud-based healthcare solutions with HIPAA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-scale solution design across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Architect AI/ML-enabled applications for predictive analytics and clinical decision support.
• Define and enforce architecture governance per HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, and NIST 800-53.
• Develop cloud adoption roadmaps including Azure Landing Zones or AWS Landing Zones and hybrid connectivity.
• Evaluate and select vendor solutions balancing innovation, cost, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to create architectures, archetypes, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
• Provide thought leadership in AI ethics and data governance in healthcare deployment strategies.
• Collaborate with executives, clinicians, and IT leaders to align technology with business goals.
• Deliver outcomes in partnership with leadership and vendor partners.
