Job summary

Quikrete Holdings Inc. is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to provide technical support for cement and concrete products and to liaise between production, quality, and sales teams.

The role includes travel to meet customers, attend industry events, and collaborate with industry associations. The candidate will deliver technical training, participate in quality initiatives, and promote cement-based solutions to customers and specifiers.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry, cement or concrete materials.
• 3+ years of experience as QA/QC Manager, Technical Services Engineer or Certified Concrete Technologist.
• Technical knowledge of concrete and building materials with industry standards and codes.
• Proven troubleshooting skills with timely resolution.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Analytical skills with ability to use data for insights.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to travel with short notice; travel ~40%.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive consultation on product performance, best practices, and technical information.
• Act as liaison between sales and production quality teams.
• Understand technical aspects of customer products, systems, and applications.
• Coordinate competitive analyses to establish internal quality objectives.
• Provide internal technical training to sales force and industry personnel.
• Engage with technical organizations such as ACI and ASTM.
• Promote cement-based products with the Sales team.
• Assist with customer product issues and maintain records.
• Coordinate with Regional Technical Directors, Labs, Sales and Manufacturing.
