Generac is seeking a Senior Technical Service Trainer to work onsite at our service training center in Wisconsin. You will train technicians in repair and installation for Generac products using classroom, hands-on labs, and live streaming, and mentor junior trainers.
You will lead curriculum development and write technical documentation, partnering with internal teams to fabricate training units and establish service rates for prototypes. Strong MS Office and instructional skills are required.
In the role of Senior Technical Service Trainer working onsite at our service training center in Wisconsin you will be part of the Service Training team. The Senior Technical Service Trainer is responsible for training/instructing technicians in all aspects of repair and installation for Generac products. The senior trainer uses a variety of methods during the training sessions including classroom presentations and hands on lab instruction. In addition to in person training, the Senior Trainer will be responsible for conducting some training via live stream. The Senior Technical Service Trainer applies technical skills and knowledge of start-up, operation and troubleshooting of all Generac products. The position is responsible for mentoring and training lower level trainers.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
