Job summary

BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC seeks a Technical Safety Specialist in Woodruff, SC. You will lead safety analysis, implement improvements, and partner with launch and production teams to manage risk and ergonomics across new and existing processes.

Role requires extensive safety experience in automotive/manufacturing, OSHA standards knowledge, and strong data-driven problem solving. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Industrial Safety, Ergonomics, or Industrial Hygiene.
• 3+ years of project management experience (preferred).
• 3+ years of automotive/manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA general industry standards.
• Excellent MS Office skills and strong communication (verbal, written, presentation).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical safety specialist for the designated technology in risk identification, avoidance, analysis, planning, problem solving, and implementation of safety improvements.
• Steer department safety and provide technical expertise on launch and series involvement, and analytics/problem solving.
• Lead data analysis for problem-solving activities for safety topics.
• Coordinate safety into bid packages, product development, new product launch, and new equipment installation.
• Collaborates with line builders, planners, and department specialists in review of drawings and process builds.
• Lead, manage, and identify projects to ensure sustainable target achievement and report status.
