Job summary

Penguin Solutions in Durham, NC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. This role focuses on sourcing, attracting, assessing, and closing top talent for AI infrastructure, software, hardware, and sales across global markets.

You will partner with hiring managers and HR to define role requirements, build pipelines, and drive a positive candidate experience while leveraging data to improve recruiting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of talent acquisition or recruiting experience in a technically driven environment.
• Experience managing full-cycle recruiting for technical roles (AI/ML, software, data, cloud, HPC).
• Experience recruiting for sales/go-to-market roles (enterprise accounts, solutions).
• Strong sourcing skills and ability to engage passive candidates in competitive markets.
• Ability to partner with hiring managers, influence, and provide market insights.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned requisitions, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and negotiation.
• Partner with hiring managers and HR leaders to define role requirements and hiring plans.
• Develop targeted sourcing strategies for scarce technical talent (AI/ML, HPC, cloud, data, software, hardware).
• Recruit for cross-functional roles including sales, software/hardware engineering, and interns.
• Attend local career fairs and support internship activities.
• Build and maintain strategic talent pipelines using market mapping, referrals, and job boards.
• Advise on recruiting best practices, market conditions, and compensation considerations.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and professional representation.
