Wayfair is seeking a Recruiter II to drive full-cycle tech recruiting from sourcing to closing. This hybrid Boston-based role partners with engineering leaders to fill critical roles across Software Engineering, Data Science/ML, Analytics, and Product Management.

You will own the candidate experience from outreach through offer, using data to optimize funnel performance, and you’ll collaborate closely with hiring managers to calibrate requirements and timelines.

Qualificações

• 1–2 years of full-cycle tech recruiting experience in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to discuss Software Engineering, Data Science/ML, Analytics or Product Management roles with hiring managers.
• Track record of owning requisitions and closing candidates against offers.
• Real sourcing skill beyond inbound flow, including passive candidate engagement.
• Ability to use funnel metrics to prioritize reqs and defend search strategy.

This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Boston HQ (Monday-Thursday will be working in office and Friday is work from home). This is not a virtual / remote position.

The Recruiter II is pivotal in identifying and securing exceptional talent to drive Wayfair's continued success. This role involves strategic sourcing, comprehensive candidate evaluation, and close collaboration with hiring managers to fulfill staffing needs. The Recruiter II leverages industry expertise and innovative recruiting techniques to build a robust talent pipeline. They are responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial outreach to offer negotiation, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring teams. This position directly impacts Wayfair's growth by attracting and onboarding high-caliber professionals, contributing to a dynamic and successful workforce.

What You’ll Do

• Own a full portfolio of technical requisitions end-to-end – sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing – running your searches independently and hitting fill and time-to-fill targets across roles like Software Engineering, Data Science/ML, Analytics, and Product Management.
• Proactively source and map the talent market for hard-to-fill technical roles, building a qualified pipeline through active outreach to passive candidates rather than relying on inbound applicants.
• Partner with engineering and technical hiring managers as a credible advisor: run intakes, calibrate the bar, and push back with data when a search needs to reset or a profile needs to shift.
• Own offer strategy and close competitive candidates – anticipating counteroffers, surfacing hesitations early, and driving the close rather than handing it off at the finish line.
• Read your own funnel metrics to pinpoint where a search is leaking – sourcing, screening, or closing and adjust your strategy accordingly.
• Deliver a candidate experience that holds up under scrutiny: clear, honest, and responsive from first outreach through offer.

What You’ll Need

• 1–2 years of full-cycle tech recruiting experience, ideally in a fast-paced in-house or agency environment filling engineering or technical roles.
• Working fluency in technical hiring – you can hold a credible conversation with an engineer or hiring manager about Software Engineering, Data Science/ML, Analytics, or Product Management roles and what “good” looks like for each.
• A track record of owning requisitions independently and closing candidates against competing offers.
• Real sourcing skill beyond the inbound applicant flow – you know how to find, engage, and move passive technical talent.
• Comfort operating from data: you use funnel metrics to prioritize your reqs, diagnose bottlenecks, and defend your search strategy to hiring managers.
• Sharp organization and judgment under competing demands, with the tact to keep hiring managers and candidates aligned when priorities compete.
