Job summary

World Equestrian Center (WEC) is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join a highly skilled engineering team at our Ocala, FL location. You will coordinate across engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable plans and drive delivery of enterprise software and applications.

You will work closely with the Software Engineering Manager to keep high-impact initiatives organized and on track, ensuring milestones and documentation are maintained.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of professional experience managing technical or software development projects.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern engineering practices.
• Strong documentation and business analysis skills, with the ability to turn ambiguous needs into clear requirements and plans.
• Adaptable, resourceful, and able to learn new domains quickly in a rapidly growing environment.
• Experience working directly with engineers on scope, architecture, and technical trade-offs.
• Ownership, autonomy, and accountability.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work across engineers, designers, and stakeholders in a growing, high-trust environment.
• Translate business requirements into clear scope, milestones, and actionable plans for a small, cross-functional engineering team.
• Create and maintain clear documentation – requirements, plans, decisions, and status – that keeps the team and stakeholders aligned.
• Perform business analysis to clarify needs and surface trade-offs, aligning initiatives with goals.
• Maintain visibility into project status, risks, and dependencies, communicating them proactively to stakeholders.
• Produce delivery artifacts such as milestone planning, release notes, and progress summaries.
• Help establish lightweight planning and review rhythms and improve how work is organized.
• Balance scope, timeline, and quality in collaboration with engineering leadership.
• Dig into unfamiliar domains as projects become more complex.
