Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to own the execution, implementation, development, and test of Amazon Leo software and tooling.

You will drive automation and operational excellence across large-scale satellite deployments, interfacing with cross-functional engineering and program management teams to deliver robust software and test infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager you will own driving the execution, implementation, development, and test of Amazon Leo SW and tooling built to support it. The role will interface with the cross-functional engineering and program management teams to build the software and test infrastructure we own. Because of the scale of the mission, you will be focused on driving automation and operational excellence — identifying areas of improvement and initiating changes to improve the productivity of the fleet.

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical program management or related experience
  • Strong technical background with ability to understand complex software systems
  • Deep understanding of SDLC and release management practices
  • Proven track record managing programs across multiple teams and dependencies
  • Experience with distributed systems or large-scale deployments
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and execution skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or similar development methodologies
Technical Knowledge
  • Software development lifecycle and release processes
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • System architecture and integration concepts
  • Testing strategies (unit, integration, system, regression)
  • Version control and branching strategies
  • Deployment methodologies and rollback procedures

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
