Job summary

Iris Technology Corporation in Irvine, CA, seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional product development and IRAD programs from concept through prototype, validation, and transition to mature products or customer-funded work.

The TPM will coordinate across Engineering, Product, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance to deliver programs on time, within scope and budget, while aligning with strategic objectives and ensuring readiness for production or customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7–12 years leading complex technical programs in aerospace/defense or related tech.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, risks, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of Product Development and IRAD programs from scope to launch.
• Develop integrated program plans spanning design, prototype, test, and production.
• Manage budgets, ETC, and EAC with accurate leadership reporting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and QA.
• Translate requirements into executable plans and drive decisions to closure.
• Lead risk management and contingency planning to avoid delays.
• Conduct program reviews and maintain documentation of decisions and actions.
• Provide status updates on progress, risks, and required actions to leadership.
• Support demonstrations, ROMs, proposals, and customer discussions.
