Job summary

X-Bow Launch Systems, Inc. is seeking a Technical Program Manager (Advanced Development) to lead complex aerospace IRAD efforts across propellant development, materials, electronics, and demonstrations.

The role requires coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing timelines, budgets, and risk in a fast-paced environment. The position reports to the VP of Advanced Development and offers opportunities to shape defense space programs while ensuring safety and compliance across multiple

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in program management or engineering leadership in aerospace/defense.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace/Mechanical) or related field.
• Experience with rapid development of prototype/demonstration solutions.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to work with diverse disciplines.
• Security clearance preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive program plans with objectives, risks, timelines, resources and budgets.
• Oversee program execution to deliver on time, within scope and budget.
• Provide technical guidance to the managed team.
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, test, safety, QA and supply chain.
• Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders, executives and government partners.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate risks affecting program objectives; resolve complex issues.
• Ensure activities comply with standards, regulations and safety requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and apply lessons learned to future phases.
