Your Impact

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager I, you will make a direct impact towards our missions of protecting life, capturing truth, and never missing a critical moment. You will leverage your leadership skills and expertise to partner with engineering and product management teams to drive projects from inception, through design, development, and deployment. Your role involves translating initial proposals into executable plans, managing scope, risks, and ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and meet customer expectations, all while making a measurable social impact.


The team you will work on is developing a new 0 to 1 product for Axon. Your role will be the technical launch manager for all software-focused deliverables in coordination with hardware timelines.


The ideal candidate is an experienced Technical Program Manager with a proven track record of executing and coordinating complex software deliverables across multiple teams. You should excel at building relationships, driving execution, and managing dependencies, using your technical expertise and detail-oriented approach.

What You'll Do

  • Location: Boston or Seattle
  • Reports to: Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager
  • Direct Reports: None
  • Be responsible for launching a new 0 to 1 product for Axon
  • Coordinate across product management, engineering, and design teams to build data-driven project plans and schedules
  • Coach teams on agile and industry best practices
  • Identify and manage dependencies, and report progress to the organization
  • Track risks, issues, and roadmaps, and communicate effectively
  • Build trust with senior leaders through clear communication and alignment
  • Lead by example with thoroughness and customer focus
  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand and manage technical tradeoffs and priorities
  • Document processes and software architecture as needed
  • Communicate regularly with US and Vietnam teams
Expectations in First 6 Months
  • Define engineering planning and execution processes
  • Standardize reporting formats, measures, and cadences
  • Develop and implement solutions, plans, and improvements
  • Establish ongoing processes, artifacts, and status reporting
  • Define and measure success metrics
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
  • 4-6+ years of experience in system/software delivery, including at least 2 in a technical program management role
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS or mission-critical software
  • Proven project management skills, including Agile, risk management, dependency tracking, and communication
  • Experience working with remote and offshore teams
  • Ability to learn quickly, reduce ambiguity, and partner effectively
  • Alignment with Axon's values and mission
  • Strong interpersonal, mentoring, coaching, and communication skills
