Job description

Who We Are:

Wayfair is a leader in the e-commerce industry, delivering a seamless and inspiring home shopping experience through both our online marketplace and physical stores. Our Storefront Technology organization powers digital customer experiences across all Wayfair brands.

We are hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive delivery across our Global Storefront Customer Experience initiatives. This includes leading the execution of large-scale replatforming and modernization programs that span across multiple teams and systems. In this role, you will apply deep technical program management skills to organize complex workstreams, de-risk roadmaps, align stakeholders, and ensure delivery of high-impact customer-facing solutions.

This position is focused on candidates who demonstrate mastery in technology program delivery at scale, particularly in modern web/mobile environments with agile engineering teams.

What You'll Do

  • Lead cross-functional delivery of large-scale replatforming programs across core shopping surfaces (e.g., PDP, checkout, cart).
  • Define and maintain program structures, aligning goals, milestones, and delivery schedules across engineering, product, analytics, and design.
  • Translate technical strategies into actionable roadmaps with measurable success criteria.
  • Partner closely with engineering leaders to track risks, manage technical dependencies, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Apply structured planning and agile delivery frameworks to coordinate multiple teams and unlock bottlenecks.
  • Facilitate decision-making by clearly articulating technical constraints, trade-offs, and business impacts.
  • Drive reporting and stakeholder communications across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Evaluate program outcomes using operational and customer metrics; iterate on processes based on measurable results.

We Are a Match Because You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or software product delivery.
  • Proven ability to manage the delivery lifecycle of complex technical programs in an agile environment.
  • Experience with replatforming or large-scale system modernization initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture patterns, including microservices, APIs, and modern web stacks.
  • Working knowledge of core technologies such as React, Java, GraphQL, and Kafka.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve API consistency, reusability, and integration practices across multiple teams.
  • Strong planning and organization skills, with fluency in defining program milestones and managing interdependencies.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication, able to synthesize technical concepts and align engineering with business objectives.
  • Experience applying scaled agile frameworks or hybrid models to coordinate multi-team execution.
