Job summary

Mavenir in Richardson, TX is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead Open-RAN and Non-Terrestrial Network technology programs, owning the full lifecycle and coordinating across product, engineering, and business teams.

The role emphasizes NB-loT in non-terrestrial networks, risk mitigation, vendor management, and executive-level updates. A Master’s in a related field and RF/terrestrial network experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum one year of RF engineering and optimization experience in a terrestrial mobile network.
• Experience with Open-RAN architecture and NB-loT in non-terrestrial networks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive planning, coordination, and delivery of Open-RAN and NTN technology programs.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of cross-functional programs applying NB-IoT to non-terrestrial networks.
• Coordinate with product groups to analyze and implement innovative NB-loT solutions.
• Manage dependencies with partners and vendors, mitigating risks and presenting governance updates.

Role Summary

Drive the planning, coordination, and delivery of new technology programs in the areas of Open-RAN and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). Own and drive the full lifecycle of cross-functional programs in the new and uncharted territory of applying NBloT technology to non-terrestrial networks. Collaborate with the product groups for analyzing and implementing Innovative solutions such as Voice over NB-loT. Manage dependencies across all facets of the program and proactively plan for risk mitigation. Present to the executives internally as well as the customer teams on a regular interval and champion program governance process. Manage work items and dependencies with partners and third-party vendors while preserving company interests. Collaborate with business team, product management, and product engineering for definition of scope, estimation, and success criteria on a business proposal.

Job Requirements

Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a directly related field plus one (1) year of experience in RF engineering and optimization in a terrestrial mobile network. Experience must include:

• One (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently)
• Using Atlassian Jira tool to monitor the project life cycle and building dashboards to provide graphical view of the network health and readiness.
• Vendor management for interoperability test planning and execution.
• Customer delivery management skills for project lifecycle management design, HW procurement, installation, integration, optimization and handover to support.
• Building complex inter-dependent project plans.
• Vendor management for interoperability test planning and execution.
• Application of Open-RAN architecture.
• Voice over NB-loT architecture in a non-terrestrial network.
