Job summary

Jobtailor in Fremont, CA seeks a Senior Program Manager to own large electromechanical hardware programs from scope definition through launch. You will coordinate engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain, while partnering with external manufacturing partners to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 6+ years in technical program management, a bachelor’s in a technical field (master’s preferred), and strong leadership, communication, and Jira/Confluence proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 6+ years in technical program management for complex electromechanical hardware.
  • Experience defining programs under significant ambiguity.
  • Working understanding of hardware development cycles and supply chain requirements.
  • Direct experience leading programs with external manufacturing partners.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering, quality, operations, procurement, and external partners.
  • Ability to communicate from the shop floor to executive meetings.
  • Advanced proficiency with Jira or Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Own large, complex programs spanning engineering, operations, supply chain, and external partners from scope definition through launch.
  • Define plans, milestones, governance cadences, and reusable processes for programs where processes are still forming.
  • Translate hardware design maturity and build plans into sourcing, capacity, and readiness commitments.
  • Interface with manufacturing partners on statements of work, build schedules, capacity and tooling readiness, quality and yield expectations, and escalations.
  • Own integrated schedules, critical paths, dependency maps, scope/cost/schedule tradeoffs, and formal change control.
  • Provide leadership with concise updates on program health, timelines, and cost exposure.
  • Shape cross-functional priorities and maintain dependencies without formal authority.
  • Travel approximately 50% to Agility facilities, manufacturing and supplier sites, and customer locations, including occasional international travel.

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years in technical program management, manufacturing program management, or supply chain program management for complex electromechanical hardware
  • Experience defining programs under significant ambiguity
  • Working understanding of the hardware development cycle (EVT/DVT/PVT) and its supply chain and manufacturing requirements
  • Direct experience running programs with external manufacturing partners
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering, quality, operations, procurement, and external partners
  • Ability to communicate from the build floor to executive staff meetings
  • Advanced proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
  • Current authorization to work in the United States
  • Master’s degree or MBA in a relevant field
  • Experience expanding manufacturing capacity with external partners, including partner evaluation, transfer planning, and partnership governance
  • Program experience in consumer electronics, connected devices, appliances, or medical devices
  • Working knowledge of cost models, tooling and NRE, capacity planning, PPAP, FAI, and CAPA
  • Exposure to robotics, autonomous systems, or complex hardware-software products
