Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to oversee high-visibility planning programs and streamline processes for building and delivering customer and merchant products.

You will work closely with engineering, product, analytics, and other cross-functional teams to align goals, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive change initiatives as our products scale to meet expanding business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of proven experience managing programs, processes, and change management in a technology-focused environment.
• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive complex, multi-disciplinary, and highly visible transformation & operational programs in service of our team’s mission to deliver honest financial products that improve lives
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the company to drive alignment on strategy, priorities, and key decisions.
• Implement lean processes and drive towards better ways of working to realize value from planning, ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be effective, and build a culture of continuous iteration and improvement
• Establish and run data-driven operational frameworks to view portfolio performance against OKRs, accelerate value realization by enabling right investment decisions, influence and train teams on more effective ways of working, and create excitement around change to increase adoption
• Develop communication strategies to ensure critical information flows seamlessly across the organization
• Partner with cross-functional teams to plan change requirements, identify risks, manage dependencies, and establish tools and forums to drive clarity and efficiency
• Identify and distill needs, experiment with new ideas to address systemic inefficiencies and bring transparency, visibility, alignment, and promote accountability across the organization
