Job summary

AMD is seeking a senior program leader to drive critical engineering initiatives from concept to execution. You will coordinate across engineering and business teams to meet initiative objectives and align with growth strategies.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record delivering sophisticated software/hardware programs, strong scheduling skills, and the ability to partner with senior executives to balance priorities and budgets. This role emphasizes leadership and program governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, CS or electrical engineering.
Formal Project Management education, PMP certified.
Solid knowledge of technical program management and delivering complex software/hardware programs.

Responsibilities

Defines, plans and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance.
Scope technical feasibility of new products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with SW/HW Architects, Technical Leads and Engineers.
Develop program schedule by considering Driver, SW stack components and HW/FW dependencies; negotiate staffing.
Build and maintain a well-developed, managed and executed program plan.
Establish formal program management artifacts including plan of record, statements of work, timelines, budget, scope, KPIs.
Excellence in resource planning is necessary.
Plan for risks in the development path and address them to save on engineering costs.
Work with senior executives across AMD's Engineering, Product Management and Customer Engineering.
