Job summary

Micron Technology in San Jose, CA seeks a Technical Product Manager to bridge customers, engineering, architecture, and business teams, driving SSD product requirements from concept through launch and deployment. Success requires blending technical depth with strategic thinking and strong leadership.

You will translate market needs into MRDs, guide decisions across NAND, controller/ASIC, firmware, and system interfaces, and align cross-functional groups to meet timelines, cost, and performance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product management, systems/product engineering, or technical program management within SSD, storage, or semiconductor industries.
• Strong technical foundation in NAND flash, SSD controller/ASIC architecture, PCIe/NVMe protocols, and firmware/system-level interactions.
• Demonstrated experience engaging directly with hyperscale or enterprise customers on technical requirements, qualification, and platform integration.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes without direct authority across engineering, sales, and executive stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust technical depth for audiences ranging from silicon engineers to executive leadership and customer executives.

Responsibilities

• Represent Micron's Data Center SSD roadmap to strategic hyperscale and OEM customer engineering leaders, building trust-based relationships.
• Gather and translate customer requirements into MRDs, platform constraints, qualification needs, and escalation paths with clear plans.
• Represent Micron in industry standards forums (PCIe-SIG, OCP, JEDEC) and influence specifications.
• Own end-to-end product requirements and technical strategy for one or more SSD lines from concept through qualification and ramp.
• Align ASIC, firmware, and systems engineering around customer- and market-driven priorities; translate external needs into tradeoff discussions.
• Partner with sales, segment leadership, NPI, and FAEs to shape account strategy, volume forecasts, and qualification milestones.
• Brief executive leadership on program status, risks, and strategic recommendations.
• Drive innovation and scale through invention disclosures, new architectures, tooling improvements, and mentoring PMs/TPMs.
