Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Technical Product Manager for its data center SSD product line.

You will own requirements for an assigned product area, work with engineering, operations, and customer teams, and translate customer needs into precise specifications for OEM servers, storage, cloud providers, and government sectors. The role emphasizes analytical skills, trade-off judgment, and the ability to clearly explain technical topics to both engineers and non-specialists.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in engineering or technical field with 3+ years in storage/semiconductors
• Experience writing requirements, specs, or test plans translating customer needs into features
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort in ambiguity
• Clear written and verbal communication to engineers, managers, and customer teams

Responsibilities

• Serve as the voice of the customer on product development teams
• Own and maintain customer-driven requirements docs and launch materials
• Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions to close gaps
• Collaborate with engineering to evaluate issues and define solutions
• Track SSD features and market trends to assess feasibility and business viability
• Build technical relationships with customer engineering teams and capture requirements
• Prepare content for reviews and engage with OEMs and hyperscalers
• Represent SSD needs in PLM planning and maintain data accuracy in databases
• Plan and run small end-to-end projects and cross-program workflows
• Share knowledge and grow cross-domain expertise; apply AI tooling to scale processes
