Job summary
Grainger seeks a Senior Technical Product Manager to shape Grainger's enterprise data platform, accelerating modernization and enabling scalable, secure, and AI-ready data capabilities. You will partner with Data Platform, Product, and Engineering teams to define and execute the strategic roadmap powering Grainger's next generation of data products and analytics.
You will translate engineering needs into clear requirements, define the product vision, and lead roadmaps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years as a Technical Product Manager, Product Manager, Engineer, or Engineering Manager.
- 1+ years in a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
- 1+ years evaluating Open Source and vendor solutions, including TCO and time to market.
- Ability to define a clear technical product vision and build roadmaps for technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the domain-level product vision and strategy.
- Lead regular product reviews with Directors/Senior Directors of Engineering.
- Manage intake and triage for Enterprise Data Platform requests.
- Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable software.
- Package and communicate platform changes through docs, demos, and release notes.
