Job summary

RK&K is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead the Transportation Drainage team in Florida. The role focuses on drainage studies, design work, and leading a water resources group to plan, design, and implement stormwater systems for municipal and state transportation projects.

You will oversee modeling with StormWise and HEC-RAS, prepare reports, manage field data collection, and guide a team of engineers and technicians while coordinating with marketing on proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Florida.
• Advanced knowledge of drainage design, hydraulic modeling and stormwater management.
• Experience with ORD, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Strong written and verbal communication for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to lead teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver stormwater management strategies for municipal and transportation projects.
• Design and review drainage systems and create construction plans.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and present updates to stakeholders.
• Model stormwater facilities using StormWise, HEC-RAS and other tools.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Conduct field investigations and collect data for analyses.
• Manage project scheduling, estimating, and resources.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with marketing on proposals and pursuits.
