Job summary

RK&K is hiring a Licensed Senior Project Engineer in Florida’s Lakeland or Tampa area to join our Transportation Division. This Stormwater Engineer will support local and statewide efforts in stormwater management and drainage design with emphasis on scour, hydrology and hydraulics for transportation projects.

Responsibilities include planning, designing, and implementing effective drainage systems, creating reports and permits, and performing field data collection and scour analysis while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Eight (8) years experience as a Civil Engineer supporting transportation projects.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Florida.
• Advanced knowledge of drainage design, H&H modeling and stormwater management.
• Proficient with industry software: MicroStation, HEC-RAS, Civil3D, ICPR, FDOT Connect/OpenRoads Designer.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts and collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver stormwater management strategies for transportation projects.
• Conduct drainage design activities including analysis and plans for drainage systems.
• Utilize hydraulic modeling software (ICPR4, SWMM, HEC-RAS).
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
• Prepare permit sketches, construction documents, specs and cost estimates.
• Perform scour analysis and field investigations.
