Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Senior Technical Manager - Technical Expertise to drive and support technical projects within the Hazardous waste BU. You will lead operations support, development and innovation, with ownership of capital expenditure projects and testing of new tools.

The role requires a strong technical background in environmental services, financial acumen and superb project management, including leadership of cross-functional teams and travel up to 25% over Hazardous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Chemistry.
• Masters degree in Chemical Engineering is an asset.
• Experience in hazardous/industrial waste treatment and wastewater treatment.
• PM skills and ability to manage complex projects.
• PSM understanding and change-management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and performance support to Hazardous waste BU.
• Develop business cases and memos for internal Go/No-Go (WIN process).
• Lead assigned projects with personnel, equipment and subcontractors.
• Ensure plans meet schedule, safety, quality and budget targets.
• Lead technical due diligence on acquisitions or plant upgrades.
• Assist BD with estimates and procedures emphasizing operational efficiency.
• Contribute to post-project evaluations and feedback.
• Develop process optimizations and pilot new technologies.
• Test and implement new tools as developed.
• Collaborate with T&P members on team reporting and delivery.
• Travel approximately 25% across Hazardous Waste locations.
