Job summary

Seatex LLC in Greenville, SC seeks a hands-on Technical Manager – UniChem to lead product development and quality control for water-based adhesives and coatings. You'll guide formulations from development to commercial launch, lead QC, and collaborate with production, purchasing, sales, and customers.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Chemistry or related field and 10+ years in chemical manufacturing; knowledge of emulsion/dispersion chemistry and testing; travel about 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, quality control, or formulation laboratories.
• Knowledge of emulsion and dispersion chemistry and hands-on adhesive/coating testing.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience with water-based adhesives and coatings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve adhesive and coating formulations for performance, quality, and cost.
• Lead QC testing, batch adjustments, and finished-product release.
• Qualify raw materials, suppliers, and alternate sources.
• Troubleshoot production issues and resolve quality concerns.
• Lead plant trials, scale-up, and process improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation and support ISO 9001 quality requirements.
