Job summary

Seatex LLC in Greenville, SC, seeks a hands-on Technical Manager for UniChem to lead product development and quality control for water-based adhesives and coatings.

You will guide formulations from development through launch, supervise QC lab, and partner with production, purchasing, sales, and customers to improve performance and solve manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in chemistry, chemical engineering, or polymer science.
• 10+ years in chemical manufacturing, QC, or formulation labs.
• Hands-on with emulsion and dispersion chemistry and adhesive/coating testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve adhesive and coating formulations for performance, quality, and cost.
• Lead QC testing, batch adjustments, and finished-product release.
• Qualify raw materials, suppliers, and alternate sources.
• Troubleshoot production issues and resolve quality concerns.
• Lead plant trials, scale-up, and process improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation and support ISO 9001 quality requirements.
