Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Program-Level Technical Lead for the WIFA Long Term Water Augmentation Project in the United States. The role provides enterprise‑level engineering leadership, ensuring strategies, decisions, and design outputs meet contractual, regulatory, and long‑term operability goals.

The incumbent coordinates across treatment, conveyance, pumping, storage, and O&M interfaces. The position requires a Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental engineering background, extensive experience on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline, master’s degree preferred.
• Progressively responsible technical experience on large water, wastewater, or conveyance infrastructure programs.
• Experience as a technical authority or subject‑matter lead on complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Experience with large‑scale treatment, conveyance, or desalination‑related infrastructure preferred.
• Familiarity with EPC, design‑build, or program‑level delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Provide program-level technical leadership to the Project Director and WIFA leadership.
• Oversee engineering quality assurance across reports, studies, designs, and models.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks across all program phases.
• Coordinate with engineering managers, construction, commissioning, O&M, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Provide technical input to procurement, bid evaluations, and major equipment selections.
