Job summary

The Solutions Group Llc seeks a Technical Lead for Secure API Engineering to guide the design and delivery of a platform‑agnostic API that secures, stores, and retrieves data across databases. You will lead Java/Spring microservices, NiFi dataflows, and DevOps collaboration in a containerized environment.

In this role you will own technical solutions, drive performance and observability with Grafana/Prometheus, and mentor a team of engineers across software and DevOps in a mission‑focused

Qualifications

• Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph (active; no sponsorship)
• U.S. Citizenship; no visa sponsorship
• 20 years as Software Engineer in similar programs
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5 years cloud experience with distributed big data stores (HBase/CloudBase/Accumulo/BigTable) and MapReduce tools (Hadoop/Hive/Pig)

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software and DevOps engineers delivering secure, reliable, mission‑focused solutions.
• Design, build, and enhance Java and Spring‑based microservices in a modern containerized environment.
• Develop and maintain Apache NiFi workflows, including custom processors.
• Work with DevOps teams to scale processing clusters and improve throughput.
• Provide Tier 2/3 production support, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Use Linux command line to investigate issues and manage services.
• Improve platform observability with Grafana and Prometheus.
• Foster a culture of strong engineering, shared ownership, and reliable delivery.
