Job summary

Condor Software is seeking a Technical Engineering Lead in San Francisco to drive the design, delivery, and quality of our financial intelligence platform. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes architecture, code, and mentoring a small team of engineers while delivering high-impact, mission-critical systems.

You will own significant parts of the platform end-to-end and work closely with product to translate requirements into durable technical plans.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on delivery of production-grade systems.
• Demonstrated technical leadership: design and delivery of complex projects while remaining hands-on.
• Deep expertise in backend systems and architecture with strong tradeoff judgment.
• Experience owning delivery: turning ambiguous requirements into actionable plans and driving to production.
• Experience mentoring engineers and growing a team; strong collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; bias for action.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and implementation of major platform components from design to production.
• Lead by example; write production code, review designs and PRs, raise engineering bar.
• Make sound architectural tradeoffs and document them clearly for the team.
• Partner with product managers to shape requirements and translate into durable technical plans.
• Break down complex initiatives, sequence work, manage scope, and drive delivery with rigor.
• Mentor engineers, help grow the team, and participate in hiring to scale the organization.
• Communicate outcomes clearly across technical and leadership audiences.
