Job summary

The New York City Department of Transportation IT & Telecom division is seeking a Senior IT Architect to join the PMO team. You will lead technical design, API integrations, and application architecture across web, service and desktop apps built on Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, and related technologies.

You will mentor developers, estimate work effort, ensure secure, quality software delivery, and collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with agency goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field with extensive enterprise/solutions architecture experience.
• Experience designing and delivering web/mobile/desktop apps in .NET stack and SQL Server.
• Strong leadership, communication and ability to mentor developers and interface with customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical design, development, API integrations, and define application architecture.
• Develop and maintain web applications using the .NET stack and SQL Server.
• Estimate task timing, improve deployment practices, and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with teams to design best solutions using .NET framework and Microsoft tech stack.
• Work in an agile team to meet business needs and drive solutions.
