Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a skilled professional to plan, supervise and perform a wide range of material testing and inspection procedures for ceramics, waxes, metals, alloys, and parts.

You will apply advanced knowledge to major projects and lead teams while coordinating with customers and vendors. Ideal candidates have strong communication, planning and data-analysis skills, with familiarity in NDTE and quality processes; hazardous waste training may be required.

Qualifications

• 6-7 years prior relevant experience or AS/AA with 5-7 years of technical experience or BS with 2-3 years experience
• Knowledge of scientific principles and lab techniques, and major field expertise
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to apply a wide variety of procedures under general directions and work independently
• Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate major projects
• Knowledge of NDTE, quality, and material testing equipment (preferred)
• Hazardous waste training may be required
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SolidWorks, and Minitab (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, supervise and perform procedures, inspections, and experiments to test materials and properties
• Lead projects and coordinate technicians to achieve milestones
• Review customer requirements and assess cost, lead time, and compliance
• Gather, record, analyze and summarize data; prepare technical reports
• Provide technical expertise and act as liaison with other departments, customers, and vendors
• Other duties as assigned
