Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) requires a technical professional to plan, supervise and perform a wide range of procedures, tests, and analyses to determine material properties of ceramics, waxes, metals, and alloys.

The role demands independent work, strong communication, and leadership of major projects. You will interpret customer requirements, assess cost and lead time, and coordinate cross-functional teams including vendors to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to apply and adapt a wide variety of technical procedures under general directions and to complete work independently.
• Ability to plan, schedule, evaluate and coordinate major projects.
• Knowledge of NDTE, quality, and material testing equipment and processes (preferred).
• May be required to complete hazardous waste management training.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to complex problems by applying existing techniques and developing new ones.
• Review customer requirements and assess cost, lead time, and compliance capability.
• Plan, schedule, complete and evaluate large projects; create manufacturing instructions and routings.
• Gather, record, analyze and summarize data; prepare technical reports of results.
• Provide technical leadership to subordinate technicians and liaise with other departments, customers and vendors.
