Job summary

Aequilibrium is seeking a Technical Lead for the XR Training Academy, combining technical leadership with hands-on development in a cloud-native, AI-powered platform. You will work with Product Owner, Unity Lead, and design to translate vision into scalable software.

This Canada-only role is open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents. You will guide architecture, drive engineering standards, and contribute code while shaping the next generation of immersive training products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Solution Architect role.
• Experience designing and building cloud-native applications.
• Experience with Python/FastAPI, React or modern frontend frameworks, REST APIs and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture of the XR Training Academy platform.
• Define architecture standards across frontend, backend, AI, cloud, and Unity.
• Lead technical planning and solution design sessions.
• Translate product requirements into technical implementation plans.
• Contribute production-quality code and review PRs.
