Senior Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, AIS Supply Planning

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. AWS Infrastructure Systems (AIS) encompasses AWS Data Center Planning, Delivery, Operations and Engineering, Network Services, Infrastructure Software and Hardware, and Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement Planning. At AIS, we are responsible for the global enablement and capacity delivery of server, network, and data center infrastructure as well as day-to-day operations and security for AWS data centers globally. We also support capacity delivery of AWS Edge Devices, and their install and post install maintenance worldwide. Systems and Supportability (SnS) Supply Planning team is responsible for delivering Data Center and Materials Supply Plan that is the source of truth for all AWS capacity delivery and financial planning activities.

We are looking for a high caliber Senior Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TiPM), who are leaders and owners. They act on behalf of the entire company, beyond just their own team. They enjoy working on challenging and high impact problems. They think long term and don’t sacrifice long-term value for short-term results.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and manage technical programs from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Manage end to end implementation of supply chain automation capabilities by partnering with software development, Business Intelligence and Data Engineering teams; to improve AWS Infrastructure systems that support Core and Machine Learning (GenAI) planning mechanisms
- Partner with EC2 product/forecasting, Hardware/Network/DC Engineering, DC ops teams to capture system and operational requirements
- Partner with SDMs/PEs/Ops teams to evaluate pros and cons of alternate solutions in order to finalize high level system solution and operational processes
- Develop and implement processes to streamline program execution and enhance efficiency.
- Anticipate potential bottlenecks and tradeoffs, providing proactive escalation management and solutions.

- 6+ years of technical program management experience
- 6+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Technical program management experience working directly with cross functional engineering and program teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Intermediate skills in using SQL to perform data analysis

- 8+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
