At AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS), we're at the forefront of cloud technology, managing the backbone of the world's largest cloud infrastructure. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you'll play a crucial role in our mission to deliver unparalleled customer experiences while driving scalability. You'll have the opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborating with diverse teams to optimize our global network of data centers and edge devices.

Our AIS team is responsible for the global enablement and capacity delivery of server, network, and data center infrastructure. We manage day-to-day operations and security for AWS data centers worldwide, as well as support the capacity delivery, installation, and maintenance of AWS Edge Devices. Our work encompasses AWS Data Center Planning, Delivery, Operations and Engineering, Network Services, Infrastructure Software and Hardware, and Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement Planning.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement strategic supply chain planning initiatives
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize infrastructure capacity
  3. Analyze complex data to drive multi-million-dollar decisions
  4. Craft compelling narratives to influence stakeholders effectively
  5. Anticipate bottlenecks and balance business needs against technical constraints

A day in the life
As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you'll start your day by reviewing key metrics and collaborating with team members on ongoing projects. You might participate in strategy meetings, analyze supply chain data, or work on optimizing our infrastructure delivery processes. Throughout the day, you'll communicate with stakeholders, problem-solve challenges, and contribute to innovative solutions that shape the future of cloud infrastructure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 6+ years of technical program management experience
  2. 6+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  3. Technical program management experience working directly with cross functional engineering and program teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 8+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  2. Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  3. Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
