Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Field Engineer to install, repair and maintain product hardware and software primarily at customer sites. You will ensure systems operate as designed and collaborate with technical colleagues to deliver timely, effective service and customer satisfaction.

The role includes scheduled services, administration tasks, and providing clear communication on product functionality. Candidates should be ready for field work across sites in Bedford Heights, OH.

Responsibilities

• Provides full range of field engineering support for large/complex clients.
• Takes complete ownership of onsite service activity.
• Performs advanced maintenance on all products, including low-complexity installation activities.
• Provides feedback on equipment, systems and processes to improve service delivery.
• Uses advanced tools and knowledge to resolve client problems and conduct scheduled installs.
• Identifies and resolves systemic issues within the team.
• Proactively supports needs of other team members with technical assistance.
• Contributes to improved client services metrics reporting and documentation.
• Monitors technical and process issues, informing manager with improvement recommendations.

Job Summary

Installs, repairs and provides technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software, mainly on customer premises. Ensures systems operate as designed and are maintained and/or upgraded per requirements. Works collaboratively with technical colleagues to ensure customers receive timely, effective and seamless service. Schedules services, completes all required administration and works with customers to ensure satisfaction with service delivery and understanding of product functionality.

Job Details

• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Driving: Primarily non-driving, but may require driving between sites
• Must be a US Citizen

Key Responsibilities

• Provides the full range of Field Engineering support for an assigned base of large/complex clients.
• Takes complete ownership of onsite service activity.
• Performs advanced-level maintenance on all products, including low-complexity installation activities.
• Provides technical feedback on equipment, systems and processes to improve overall service delivery.
• Uses advanced tools and technical knowledge to resolve client problems and conduct scheduled installs.
• Identifies and resolves systemic issues within the team.
• Proactively supports the needs of other team members, providing technical assistance and expertise.
• Contributes to improved client services metrics reporting and documentation.
• Monitors technical and process issues, proactively informing the manager and/or team on offering improvement recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• May require technical certification or Associate Degree.
• Generally, 2-4 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.
• A+ Certification required. Candidates who do not already have A+ certification will have 90 days after their start date to become certified or may be subject to termination.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle and car insurance.
• Computer-building background preferred.
• General knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware and software, including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Ability to resolve basic/non-complex problems as directed.
• Must be able to complete required product training.
• Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
• Client and/or governmental clearance may be required.
• Police or criminal background verification clearance may be required.
