Job summary

Brown Federal Services, LLC seeks an experienced Technical Editor to support the development, review, and maintenance of Safety Basis documentation for nuclear and high-hazard facilities. You will edit, format, and quality-check DSAs, TSRs, hazard analyses, and related materials.

Work closely with engineers, nuclear safety analysts, and SMEs to ensure documents are clear, technically accurate, and compliant with DOE requirements, ready for internal and external review.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience editing complex technical or regulatory documentation.
• Strong command of grammar, technical writing style, and document structure.
• Experience with subject matter experts in regulated environments.
• Proficiency in Word and document control processes.
• Ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit, format, review, and quality-check Safety Basis documentation and related materials.
• Ensure compliance with DOE requirements and site procedures (DOE O 420.1, 10 CFR 830).
• Improve clarity and readability without changing technical intent.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, authors, and SMEs to resolve comments.
• Prepare documentation for formal review, approval, and submittal.
• Track revisions and maintain version control across documents.
