Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant professional experience.
• 15+ years of project management experience, including at least 10 years in corporate events, special events, entertainment, theatre, or equivalent.
• Experience providing technical direction for large-scale, complex, or high-profile events and experiential programs.
• Experience contributing to technical proposals, estimates, and RFP responses.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams including clients, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring technical directors, production leads, or technical teams.
• Strong understanding of event financial management, including budgets and profitability.
• Ability to evaluate technical risks and make decisions under pressure.
• Experience developing scalable production standards, SOPs, and workflows.
• Strong executive-level communication with clients and leadership.
• Ability to travel 25%–50%.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for complex, high-profile event programs from planning through onsite execution.
• Mentor and support Technical Directors through scheduling, training, and guidance.
• Develop strong client relationships and act as strategic technical advisor.
• Collaborate to create event designs, production strategies, staffing, and budgets.
• Evaluate RFP requirements, develop technical solutions, and assist with proposals.
• Review production drawings, schedules, budgets, labor plans, and vendor scopes for feasibility.
• Provide escalation support for complex issues across multiple workstreams.
• Assist with client contracts, resource planning, and vendor coordination.
• Develop production books, schedules, logistics plans, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate onsite labor and monitor budgets and labor utilization.
• Promote safety standards throughout planning, installation, and execution.
• Develop SOPs and workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve practices, vendor relationships, and profitability.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
