Job summary

The Freeman Company, partnering with Studio Blue, seeks a Senior Technical Director to lead technical strategy and production for major event programs. The role guides opportunities from RFP responses through planning, onsite execution, and completion, mentoring directors and coordinating with sales, operations, and clients.

Based in a flexible hybrid environment, the position supports Studio Blue across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• 15+ years of experience in project management, with 10+ years in corporate events or similar.
• Experience leading technical direction for large-scale events or programs.
• Experience supporting proposals, estimates, and RFP responses.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across complex, high-profile event programs.
• Mentor Technical Directors and support project delivery.
• Develop senior-level client relationships to position Studio Blue as a strategic partner.
• Collaborate with Sales, Client Solutions, and Operations to develop designs and budgets.
• Review RFPs, determine technical approaches, and contribute estimates.
