Job summary

Perkins&Will Miami Studio seeks a Technical Director with 15+ years of experience and a strong business sense to lead our growing team. The candidate will champion the design process, coordinate consultants, and translate design intent into robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities include QA/QC management, adherence to codes and sustainability goals, and mentoring staff to elevate technical design. Licensure is required; NCARB and LEED GA certification within 6 months are preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of architectural design experience with licensure.
• Strong leadership and coordination across design teams and consultants.
• Familiar with building codes, project delivery, and risk management.
• Experience guiding complex projects to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Establishes a culture of high-quality, innovative design with technical resolution.
• Manages QA/QC processes and ensures compliance with codes and sustainability goals.
• Monitors project progress relative to schedule and budget.
• Leads engagement with Specifications Group and delivery of master sections.
• Mentors staff to develop technical design excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Represents local implementation of firm-wide technical initiatives.
