Job summary

Dimensional Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Technical Designer II to bridge Design and Production, producing models, drawings, and toolpaths while preserving design intent for clients.

You will work with a team to deliver innovative solutions across diverse projects, with potential leadership on smaller-to-medium scale efforts. The role emphasizes advanced SolidWorks usage, collaboration with PMs, Designers, Engineers, and Production staff, and mentoring of junior team members to foster skill

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Themed Entertainment Design, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in the Design Engineering industry or equivalent.
• SolidWorks proficiency with top-down or in-context modeling.
• Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (Illustrator).
• Experience with Rhino/Grasshopper is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Solidworks at an advanced level to produce engineering models, drawings, and toolpaths.
• Creates and maintains partnerships with Project Managers, Designers, Engineers and Production staff.
• Owns project elements and may guide/oversee other Engineering team members.
• Acts as the point person for detailed communication across the core team and with clients.
• Mentors less experienced team members and collaborates with Production to fix production issues.
