Job summary

Dimensional Innovations seeks a Technical Designer II to bridge design and production, producing models, drawings, and toolpaths that preserve client design intent. You may lead smaller projects with guidance from Engineering team leaders and partner with Project Managers, Designers and Production staff to deliver exceptional results.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design or related field, 3–5 years experience, and advanced Solidworks skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Themed Entertainment Design, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of design engineering experience or equivalent.
• Advanced Solidworks modeling (top-down/in-context).
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; Rhino/Grasshopper a plus.
• Experience with metal, plastics or plywood/MDF fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain engineering models, drawings, and toolpaths in Solidworks.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, Engineers and Production staff.
• Uphold quality standards and ensure design intent is preserved.
• Lead smaller to medium projects and mentor junior team members.
• Communicate project details across teams and ensure adherence to standards.
• Support production to fix errors and ensure correct install details.
