Job summary

Quince in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Technical Designer for Women's Intimates, Swim, and Maternity to lead tech design and fit. You will develop fit blocks, assess samples, and ensure consistency across categories to reduce returns and improve customer satisfaction.

The role collaborates with global teams through pre-production, works with merchandising, sourcing, and product development, and is onsite five days a week in SF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in fashion or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a technical designer in intimates, swimwear, or maternity.
• Strong expertise in pattern making, grading, and fit standards for intimates and swimwear.
• Experience with stretch fabrics and support structures for bras and swimwear.
• Proficiency with pattern-making software and Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Build fit blocks for key styles for future development.
• Manage fit process from 1st Proto to Bulk production.
• Develop and update technical specification packages by category.
• Spec garments, conduct fit sessions, and create fit comments for vendors.
• Collaborate with global teams to maintain fit processes.
• Work with merchandising to ensure quality and consistency.
• Evaluate digital patterns and revise for fit and comfort.
• Sketch flats and communicate with internal/external teams.
• Ensure garments meet company fit, construction, quality, and comfort.
• Troubleshoot pattern, grading, construction issues.
