  • Act as a bridge between design and engineering, sharing knowledge between the two to accelerate understanding and efficiency throughout both disciplines.
  • Engage with the engineering discipline in order to add features to existing technical architecture to extend functionality for designers.
  • Ensure that designs are clear with thorough documentation, collaborative meetings, and smart team-wide communication.
  • Proactively engage in the exchange of feedback and ideas across multiple disciplines.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in games in a technical design capacity with at least one shipped AAA title.
  • Experience writing C++ in Unreal Engine 4 or 5 in a responsible manner.
  • High level of C++ comprehension - ability to determine how a system works through code and ability to debug through code to help diagnose problems.
  • Proven ability to assess developer workflows and tools that improve implementation experience and efficiency for designers of all sub-disciplines.
  • Passion for workflows, tools, and the benefits of effectively sharing knowledge with other team members.
  • Thrive during times of rapid iteration through adaptability and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to explain design concepts clearly, document workflows, and exchange feedback across disciplines.
  • Passion for video games that leads to remaining current on industry trends including new game genres, new game design methods and techniques, and trending audio-visual excellence.
Nice to Haves

  • A personal affinity to role-playing games and a deep understanding of player expectations in the genre.
  • Additional experience with designing and utilizing gameplay related systems.

This job can be hybrid/in-office or fully remote.

  • 401K with employer matching.
  • Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) - $100 per month to use towards fitness, wellness, internet, home office equipment, learning, streaming services, and more.
  • Menstrual leave - employees who menstruate can take one extra day off when experiencing period pain.
