Job summary

Stock Executive Search is seeking a skilled Technical Designer for a leading NYC-based fashion wholesaler. You will manage the full fit process from block creation to final approval, collaborating with design, product development and production teams to ensure consistent, premium fit across lines.

The role requires 7+ years in apparel technical design, strong Excel and Illustrator skills, and knowledge of construction, fabrication, patterns, and grading.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain accurate spec charts.
• Ensure accuracy of garment measurements, construction details, and grading across size ranges.

A leading NYC-based fashion wholesaler is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Designer to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring garments meet our high standards of fit, construction, and quality. The Technical Designer will manage the fit process from initial block creation through final approval, working closely with cross-functional teams and overseas partners.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain accurate spec charts
• Ensure accuracy of garment measurements, construction details, and grading across size ranges

• Review fit samples, lead fit sessions, and clearly communicate all fit comments to overseas partners through written notes, photographs, diagrams, and pattern corrections
• Collaborate closely with design, product development, and production teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve fit issues quickly and effectively

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in apparel technical design
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator
• Strong knowledge of apparel construction, fabrication, patterns, and grading
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorites
• Experience with 3D apparel software (CLO, Browzwear, Optitex, etc.) a plus
• Comfortable working in a Mac environmentSolid work experience a must
• Work from Home Friday

Salary Range (NYC): $ $85,000 to 100K doe (commensurate with experience)
