Job summary

NYC Alliance seeks a highly skilled Senior Technical Designer with extensive experience in contemporary and premium apparel to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of fit, construction, and technical specifications across multiple categories, along with the ability to communicate clearly with factories, cross-functional partners, and retail partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Technical Design.
• Experience with contemporary and premium brands.
• Ability to create detailed technical packages for factories.
• Experience evaluating fit and garment construction.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical packages for fit sample development in all categories.
• Evaluate fit samples, pre-production and TOP samples for specs, quality and workmanship.
• Maintain consistency of product fit, technical specs and development processes across brands.
• Conduct fittings with designers and internal teams on live models and body forms.
• Write fit comments to factories with clear technical notes and visuals.
• Maintain a product library for future reference.
• Correspond with factories and cross-functional partners daily to solve problems and ensure product integrity.
• Work with Production on follow-up and timing of approval comments to meet delivery expectations.
• Act as liaison between Design, Sales, Production, and Factory to ensure samples meet specs.
• Plan appropriate fit schedules with models and designers.
• Update and maintain department fit logs.
