Job summary

Horizontal Talent in Austin, TX seeks a Technical Delivery Lead to act as senior delivery authority on a high-impact client account, blending technical credibility with execution leadership.

You will guide multi-stream delivery, own end-to-end outcomes, mentor delivery teams, and maintain on-site client engagement, while identifying expansion opportunities and aligning with architecture, PM, and product leadership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in technology delivery with senior leadership experience.
• Proven track record owning end-to-end delivery for large client engagements.
• Ability to build trust with executive stakeholders and communicate at the leadership level.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery across multiple workstreams on schedule, quality, budget, staffing, and margin.
• Serve as the primary technical and delivery authority for executive-level client conversations and account credibility.
• Guide solution direction and adjust approaches before client commitments.
• Partner with architecture, program/project management, and product leadership to remove blockers.
• Resolve escalations that require senior-level judgment and technical decision-making.
• Oversee delivery KPIs, including on-time delivery, budget performance, quality, and utilization.
• Review and approve staffing and resourcing changes within account guidelines.
• Support the adoption of AI-assisted and agentic development practices across the delivery organization.
• Maintain regular on-site engagement with the client to strengthen relationships and evolving needs.
• Identify expansion opportunities within the account and shape them into new work.
• Coach and support delivery leaders, architects, project managers, and product managers across the account.
