Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or Data Analyst in life sciences or regulated domains.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on Power BI, SQL; Python or R preferred.
  • Experience with data integration, relational models, and multi-source analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex business and regulatory questions into structured analytical projects.
  • Explore, integrate, and analyze regulatory, adverse event, and supply chain datasets for drugs and devices.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical workflows for internal and client use.
  • Identify relationships across datasets (regulatory actions, adverse outcomes, networks).
  • Ensure outputs are explainable, well-documented, and suitable for regulated contexts.
  • Document data sources, transformations, and limitations for traceability and reuse.
  • Work independently, form hypotheses, test ideas, and communicate findings clearly.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst with experiencein medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or regulated healthcare environments. Thisrole sits at the intersection of data analysis, business reasoning, andregulated systems. You will work directly with leadership to frame analyticalquestions, explore and integrate multi-source datasets, and develop clear,defensible insights across regulatory, clinical, and supply chain domains. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both hands-on data work and strategicproblem framing, and who wants meaningful ownership rather than narrow execution. You will report directly to the CEO and have visibility intocompany strategy, product direction, and client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate complex businessand regulatory questions into structured analytical projects.
  • Explore, integrate, and analyze regulatory, adverse event, and supply chain datasets related to drugs and medical devices.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical workflows for internal and client-facing use.
  • Identify and articulate relationships across disparate datasets (e.g., regulatory actions, adverse outcomes, manufacturing and distribution networks).
  • Ensure analytical outputs are explainable, well-documented, and appropriate for regulated contexts.
  • Document data sources, transformations, assumptions, and limitations to support traceability and reuse.
  • Work independently and proactively - forming hypotheses, testing ideas, and communicating findings clearly.
  • Contribute ideas to improve data quality, structure, automation, and analytical strategy.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or Data Analyst in life sciences, healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or adjacent regulated domains.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using Power BI, SQL, and preferably Python or R.
  • Solid understanding of data integration, relational data models, and multi-source analytics.
  • Experience working with or alongside regulated systems or data (formal GxP experience not required, but familiarity is important).
  • Ability to operate effectively in a remote, high-trust environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Intellectual curiosity and sound judgment when working with imperfect or incomplete real-world data.
Nice to Have
  • Direct experience with FDA or Health Canada datasets.
  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance, post-market surveillance, or medical device reporting frameworks.
  • Exposure to supply chain data, network analysis, or graph-based approaches.
  • Experience with API-based data ingestion or automated ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with life sciences vocabularies and ontologies (e.g., MedDRA, UNII, RxNorm).
  • Background in consulting, regulatory analytics, or cross-functional analytics roles.
