About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Pharmaceutical Data Analyst to join their global team, working from George, Western Cape . This position plays a critical role in extracting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting complex pharmaceutical datasets to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. You will work with various internal stakeholders, including research and development, marketing, and regulatory affairs teams, to identify trends, assess product performance, and inform future drug development pipelines. This is a fully remote opportunity for a dedicated professional who excels in data manipulation and statistical analysis within the intricate landscape of the pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from diverse sources, including clinical trials, sales reports, and market research.
- Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling to identify key trends, patterns, and correlations within pharmaceutical data.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to visualize data and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and translate business questions into analytical frameworks.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry regulations and data privacy standards.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business inquiries and support strategic initiatives, contributing to the optimization of drug development and commercialization strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or similar.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and principles relevant to pharmaceutical research and development.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
