Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to lead construction-phase architectural services for a large-scale mixed-use development. The role requires 12+ years of experience with retail and multi-family residential projects and CMAR delivery familiarity.

You will guide design intent during construction and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to resolve field issues. The position can be based in San Francisco, CA or Salt Lake City, UT, with optional relocation support.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of architectural practice experience.
• Large-scale mixed-use retail and multi-family residential project experience.
• Experience with CMAR or similar delivery models.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, documentation standards, coordination workflows.
• Proven ability to lead technical issues through construction.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural construction-phase services for a large-scale mixed-use development.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure design intent, functionality, safety, and quality during construction.
• Review and oversee architectural documentation, including drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Support construction teams by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and resolving site/coordination issues.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders.
• Contribute to quality assurance and risk management during construction.
